Things I’ve Learned So Far

Life has a funny way of teaching us lessons, sometimes gently and sometimes through challenges. As I reflect on my journey so far, there are a few lessons that have truly shaped the way I see myself and the world around me.

1. Quality over Quantity in Relationships
I’ve realized that you don’t need a crowd of people around you. What truly matters is having a few people who understand you, support you, and genuinely care about your growth. These are the ones who lift you up, celebrate your successes, and stand by you during the hard times. True connection matters more than the number of connections.

2. The Power of Independence
Being independent is one of the most empowering things I’ve learned. Not everyone will walk with you through life, and that’s okay. Learning to rely on yourself, making your own decisions, and trusting your abilities has been a game-changer. Independence doesn’t mean being alone; it means being strong enough to face life on your own terms.

3. Your Choices Must Be Yours
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is that every choice and decision in life must be truly your own. No one else should make it for you, and you shouldn’t rely on others to validate it. When the decision is yours, you can fully embrace the journey it brings—whether it comes with struggles, challenges, or moments of joy. Owning your choices gives you freedom, responsibility, and the satisfaction of knowing that your life is guided by your own path, not anyone else’s.

Each of these lessons has helped me grow, understand myself better, and move forward with confidence. Life is still full of learning, and I know there’s so much more ahead—but these lessons have set a strong foundation for the person I am becoming.
